Job summary

Vena Energy Services (Australia) Pty Ltd in Laguna, Philippines seeks a qualified QA professional to act as Owner's representative, overseeing electrical installation and control systems in line with IEEE, IEC, NFPA, NEMA, and local codes.

You will enforce quality control and safety, review ITPs and project QA plans, manage NCRs, coordinate with contractors and grid authorities, and support handover through documentation and audits.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of construction engineering in power plants.
• Experience in wind power plants preferred.
• Knowledge of Philippine Grid Code, PEC and international standards.
• Experience with Utilities and Transmission companies.
• Contract and QA management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and inspect electrical installation and control systems per drawings and standards.
• Enforce QA and safety for assets.
• Review Project Quality Plan and QA needs.
• Review inspection reports and QA records.
• Assess contractor quality adequacy and competence.
• Lead improvement processes and corrective actions.
• Identify root causes and action plans via defined communication.
• Perform inspection reports and document handover readiness.
• Maintain NCR register and QA documentation.
• Provide timely information impacting handover progress.
• Coordinate review/audit plans for handover phases.
• Review test packages and close noncompliance.
• Approve ITPs and witness tests and hold points.
• Monitor cabling, substations, and transmission line works.
• Communicate with grid operators and authorities.
• Support Contract Management Plans for contractors.
• Ensure scope delivered per specs and on time.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety inductions.
• Verify deliveries meet QA specs and maintain QA records.
• Support risk management and environmental measures.
• Maintain daily diary for contractual discussions.
• Verify subcontractor deliveries' acceptance.
• Participate in Permit to Works meetings.
• Monitor progress vs schedules and address delays.
• Interface between contractors and Technical/Authority supervision.
• Provide daily progress reports with contractors.
• Demonstrate Safety Leadership.
• Ensure Basis for Design adherence.
• Support suppliers' quality plan approvals.
• Support milestone deliveries and as-built IFC docs.
• Perform other tasks as required.
