Job summary

VESTAS SHARED SERVICE A/S in the Philippines is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support wind farm reliability by maintaining PSS, RMUs, switchgear, and BOP equipment. You will ensure safe operation and compliance with engineering standards.

You will read electrical drawings, coordinate with technicians and contractors, and provide timely reports on PTW, grid data, and inventory. A Diploma or BSc in Electrical Engineering is required, NGCP knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in electrical engineering is required.
• Experience with Pooling Substations and RMUs is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Knowledge of local grid compliance NGCP is required.
• Understanding of safety regulations for Grid systems in the Philippines is essential.
• Basic report preparation related to BOP equipment is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and follow LOTO procedures for every task.
• Fully comply with site safety instructions, policies, and SOPs.
• Participate in safety initiatives, including incident and near-miss reporting and safety audits.
• Identify, report, and rectify unsafe conditions or behaviours.
• Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance as assigned.
• Maintain Pooling Substation (PSS), RMUs, WTG switchgear, BOP equipment in reliable condition.
• Ensure accurate daily updates of PTW, PSS operation checklists, grid data, and inventory.
• Supervise scheduled service activities and coordinate with subcontractors for breakdown maintenance.
• Monitor deviations in PSS, RMUs, and internal transmission lines.
