Job summary

Vena Group is seeking a Wind Development Manager to lead campaigns, evaluate wind data, and optimize site layouts to reduce LCOE. The role involves modeling, feasibility studies, and stakeholder reporting across multiple projects, with field visits as needed.

Applicants should bring 5+ years in wind projects, engineering or atmospheric science background, strong Excel and GIS skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with BD and technical teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or atmospheric science.
• 5+ years in wind development, wind EPC, or turbine supplier roles.
• Strong data analysis, GIS, and software proficiency including WAsP/WindPRO/Windographer/Openwind.
• Programming with Python or Matlab; CFD/NWP familiarity.
• Excellent commercial sense and ability to communicate technical findings.

Responsibilities

• Manage wind measurement campaigns and systems, IEC-compliant.
• Perform wind flow modeling and review model outputs.
• Assess energy production for layouts and turbine configurations.
• Conduct site condition assessments for turbine types and extreme winds.
• Evaluate turbine models and optimize layouts to minimize LCOE.
• Produce detailed reports for management and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with land, permitting, and cross-functional teams.
• Visit sites as needed to support execution and oversight.
