Job summary

World Vision Bangladesh invites a psychologist to support the implementation and management of Women and Girls Safe Space (WGSS) activities in camps and host communities, ensuring quality GBV prevention and response services, and promoting gender equality and inclusion.

You will coordinate with CiC, camp management agencies, service providers and local leaders, organize awareness activities, maintain documentation, and report progress to the Project Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Hons or Master degree in Social Science/ Psychology with relevant professional training or experience.
• Clear Understanding on PSS.
• Knowledge on Humanitarian Response.
• Good conceptual and practical skill to write reports, project concept paper and design documents of the project.
• Good knowledge and skills on project management.
• Baseline survey, Evaluation and Monitoring process and tools.
• Good facilitation skill of Training, Seminar and Advocacy programs.
• Experience to lead/coordinate Consortium projects.
• Experience in preparing DIP, ITT, Monitoring plan, procurement plan, Cash flow etc.
• Chittagong/Rohingya and Bengali language skills will add value. Very Good command in English both written and verbal is essential.
• Decision making and conflict resolution skills
• Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation
• Ability to work under stressful condition and adaptive to local culture and situation
• Minimum of 3 years working experiences in the relevant field as PSS Assistant/officer, counselling Psychologist/ Prevention Assistant or officer.

Responsibilities

• The Psychologist will support WGSS activities ensuring quality GBV prevention and response services in camps and host communities.
• Coordinate with CiC, Camp management agencies, Union Porishad, service providers, community leaders and stakeholders to ensure effective project implementation.
• Organize trainings and capacity building for GBV volunteers and survivors’ linkage to case management services.
• Prepare sub project proposals, purchase requests and relevant documents.
• Maintain documentation and reporting to support project objectives and budget tracking.
• Engage communities in IEC materials development and participation in awareness sessions.
• Collaborate with the GBV Officer and project team to prevent GBV issues.
