Job summary

CEBU GENERAL SERVICES INC. is seeking a skilled welder/fabrication technician to troubleshoot equipment, ensure proper fabrication quality, and safely operate MIG, TIG, and arc welding equipment in a workshop environment.

You will conduct routine maintenance, maintain clean and hazard-free workspaces, and coordinate with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to minimize downtime. Responsible for documentation and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment problems and respond promptly to machine breakdowns and maintenance requests.
• Ensure proper alignment, fitting, and finishing of fabricated and repaired components.
• Operate welding and fabrication tools and equipment safely, including MIG, TIG, arc welding, grinders, and cutting equipment, as required.
• Conduct routine inspection and maintenance of tools, machines, and workshop equipment.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure the work area is clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
• Follow workplace safety procedures, PPE requirements, welding safety standards, and company policies.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, materials used, and equipment issues.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
• Assist in the installation, relocation, and modification of machinery, equipment, piping, and metal structures.
• Report major equipment defects, recurring problems, and safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Perform other welding, fabrication, and maintenance-related duties as assigned.
