Job summary

Quest Exploration Drilling (Philippines), Inc. seeks a skilled welder to perform day-to-day welding on equipment used in drilling and workshop activities. The role requires following blueprints and layout specifications, aligning parts, and welding with jigs and torches while adhering to safety policies.

You will inspect metal stock, ensure specifications, and finish edges and fittings. Expect adherence to PPE rules and potential additional tasks as directed by your supervisor.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and layouts to weld parts.
• Adherence to safety, health and environmental requirements and use of PPE.
• Operate welding equipment, jigs and hand tools to assemble units per specifications.

Responsibilities

• Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form units using jigs, welding torches and hand tools.
• Lay out and examine metal stock to ensure specifications are met.
• Smooth edges and fit taps, tubes and valves.
• Comply with safety requirements and company policies.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Responsible for the day-to-day welding job orders for all equipment used in the drilling and workshop activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a strong understanding of company policies, rules, and procedures and ensures the implementation of those requirements

• Complies with all safety requirements and observes all company policies and procedures.

• Positions, aligns, fits, and welds parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools.

• Lay out and examine metal stock or workpieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met.

• Smooth workpiece edges and fix taps, tubes, and valves.

• Complies with all quality, safety, health, and environment requirements (e.i., wearing of PPE) and observes all company policies and procedures;

• Performs other tasks that may be assigned by the superior from time to time.
