Responsibilities

• Welding and Fabrication: Perform all types of welding and cutting, including structural steel, pipe, and equipment parts, using electric arc, oxyacetylene, and other welding methods.
• Mechanical Repair: Repair and replace metal parts for mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, and heavy machinery like graders and loaders.
• Blueprints and Layouts: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to determine project design and fabrication.
• Metalworking Operations: Operate various metalworking machinery, including shears, presses, benders, drill presses, and saws for cutting, shaping, and forming metal parts.
• Maintenance and Inspection: Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repair on welding equipment, machinery, and the structures they are used to build or support.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a safe work environment.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of materials used, work performed, time spent, and any issues encountered for accurate documentation and reporting.
• Welding Proficiency: Skilled in various welding techniques and able to weld different metal types and alloys.
