Independent Contractor
Remote — Philippines-based
On-Demand / As-Needed Work
Up to 5–20 hours per week when work is available
Rates in USD, paid in PHP
You would be engaged as an independent contractor by Qualita Group, a Bulgaria-registered company, to provide website and digital services for CPR First Aid, an established Australian first aid and CPR training provider.
This is an independent contractor arrangement rather than an employment position. Contractors invoice for approved hours worked and remain free to work with other clients.
We are currently looking for experienced Philippines-based contractors who can support our website and related digital systems when required.
Please note this is an on-demand role.
Work will be assigned based on current projects, website requirements and business priorities. There may be weeks where 5–20 hours of work are available, while at other times there may be limited or no work.
There are no guaranteed minimum weekly hours.
This opportunity is best suited to experienced freelancers or contractors who already manage their own workload and are comfortable taking on additional projects as they become available.
The majority of work will be focused on our WordPress websites, including maintaining, improving and growing the website.
Depending on your experience, responsibilities may include:
Maintaining and updating WordPress websites
Creating and improving website pages
Building new website functionality
Troubleshooting website errors and technical issues
Plugin and theme management
Website speed and performance optimisation

We are particularly interested in contractors who understand that a website should not only function well but also help generate enquiries and enrolments.
Work may include:
Improving website conversion rates
Creating and improving landing pages
Improving calls to action
Reviewing website user journeys
Identifying friction in the enrolment process
Testing page layouts and website messaging
Implementing website changes based on marketing and sales data
Improving lead-generation opportunities
Connecting website forms and enquiries with CRM, email or automation systems
We are actively exploring ways to use AI to improve our website and business processes.
Relevant experience may include:
AI-powered website tools
Website chatbots
Automated customer follow-up
Customer enquiry automation
Integrating AI tools with existing website and business systems
Experience with tools such as APIs, Zapier, Make, Claude, ChatGPT or similar platforms is an advantage.
Depending on your skills and current business requirements, occasional work may also involve:
Google Ads
Conversion tracking
Analytics
Landing pages for advertising campaigns
Marketing technology integrations
The primary focus, however, is website development, maintenance, optimisation and growth.
We are looking for people with substantial, demonstrable experience. This is not an entry-level position.
You should have:
Strong practical experience with WordPress and website management
Demonstrable experience in your specialist area
Good understanding of website performance and troubleshooting
Ability to investigate problems and recommend solutions independently
Experience working with AI tools and understanding where AI can genuinely improve workflows
Strong attention to detail
Good written and spoken English
Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical team members
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong communication and progress reporting
Reliable internet connection and suitable remote-working equipment
A high level of trustworthiness when handling website access, customer information and confidential business systems
This role is designed for people who are comfortable learning independently.
There will not be ongoing live training or someone walking you through every task step by step.
Most onboarding, processes and task instructions will be provided through:
Recorded walkthroughs
Existing SOPs and process documents
Examples of previously completed work
You will be expected to watch the relevant Loom videos, review the available instructions, research where necessary and learn the systems independently.
You should be confident figuring out unfamiliar tools, plugins, processes and website issues without requiring continuous supervision.
Questions are welcome when something is genuinely unclear, but applicants should be comfortable learning by watching, researching, testing and problem-solving independently.
This role is best suited to someone who is resourceful and proactive rather than someone who requires formal classroom-style training or constant step-by-step guidance.
This is an on-demand independent contractor arrangement.
Work is provided according to current business needs and available projects.
For example:
Some weeks may have 5–20 hours of available work.
Some weeks may have fewer than 5 hours.
There may also be periods when no work is required.
There is no guaranteed number of hours per week or month.
Contractors should therefore not treat this opportunity as their sole or guaranteed source of income.
When projects or tasks become available, they will be assigned based on your skills, availability and the requirements of the business.
All paid contractor hours must be tracked using Time Doctor.
Time Doctor is used to verify time spent on assigned tasks and may include:
Time tracking during your working session
Activity monitoring
Periodic screenshots or screen recording during tracked working time
Review of time spent on assigned tasks and projects
Monitoring only applies while Time Doctor is running and you are recording paid working time for the company.
You should only activate Time Doctor when actively performing approved work.
Contractors must be comfortable using this system as a condition of undertaking paid hourly work.

No formal or continuous live training
Invoiced fortnightly or monthly, as agreed
