the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and monitoring daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, inventory management, picking, and dispatching of items. The role ensures efficient warehouse processes, inventory accuracy, proper handling of stocks, and compliance with company standards while leading warehouse personnel to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
- Monitor inventory levels and address stock-related concerns to ensure accuracy and availability.
- Ensure all items are in good physical condition and complete with required accessories.
- Verify newly received stocks by conducting actual versus system checks for accuracy.
- Ensure proper picking, packing, and preparation of items for delivery to clients.
- Review and validate warehouse documents against picked and delivered items.
- Monitor and ensure all backloaded items are properly posted in the warehouse management system (Navision).
- Inspect delivery vehicles to ensure no items are left behind before dispatch.
- Maintain organized storage areas and recommend improvements to warehouse layout and processes.
- Conduct monthly physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly warehouse performance reports, including received, processed, returned, and released items.
- Identify operational issues and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and customer service.
Inventory Reservation Management
- Monitor proper storage and placement of items within the warehouse.
- Supervise Logistics Associates in verifying transaction details, including item variants and units of measurement, before picking activities.
- Coordinate with Logistics Associates regarding reserved stocks for specific clients.
- Ensure inventory reservations are accurately tracked and managed.
Receiving and Processing New Stocks
- Coordinate with the Operations Supervisor regarding incoming shipments and estimated arrival schedules.
- Prepare and distribute shipment documentation for review and verification.
- Receive and inspect shipments from suppliers and manufacturers.
- Encode and post serial numbers and stock information in the Navision system after receiving and scanning.
Job Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or any related field.
Experience
- At least three (3) years of relevant work experience in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
- Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.
Technical Competencies
