The Visual Merchandising Officer is responsible for planogram development and management, ensuring consistent execution of visual merchandising standards across SJD branches.
This role partners closely with several teams to ensure effective category presentation,
promotional execution, and retail discipline across the chain.
Responsibilities
Planogram Management
- Develop, update, and maintain category planograms aligned with sales performance, space allocation, and customer shopping behavior
- Ensure proper product segmentation, shelf allocation, and space-to-sales optimization
- Manage planogram rollouts and ensure all branches comply with approved layouts
- Lead continuous improvements to planograms based on sales trends, new product launches, and category growth priorities
- Coordinate with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure planograms align with store capabilities and inventory flow
Visual Merchandising Standards & Store Layout Governance
- Develop and enforce VM standards and store layout guidelines across branches
- Ensure consistent and professional presentation of categories, displays, and fixtures
- Support store layout planning for new branches, renovations, and resets
Store Audits & Field Execution
- Conduct regular planogram compliance audits and branch visits across Northern Luzon
- Identify execution gaps and implement corrective action plans with store teams
- Train store staff and operations partners on proper planogram execution and display standards
Promotions & In-store Campaign Execution
- Collaborate with Marketing on execution of seasonal campaigns, product launches, and promotional displays
- Ensure correct placement and visibility of promo items, POSM materials, and price communication
Reporting & Performance Improvement
- Track and report VM and planogram compliance performance per branch
- Recommend improvements based on category sales performance, customer behavior, and store-level feedback
Job Requirements
- 5–8+ years’ experience in Visual Merchandising, Retail Merchandising, Space Planning, Category Management, or Trade Marketing
- At least 3+ years of strong experience in planogram development and management
- Proven experience handling multi-branch or regional retail coverage
- Experience in pharmacy, supermarket, FMCG, beauty, or personal care retail preferred
- Experience conducting store audits and retail compliance checks
- Exposure to store openings, rollouts, renovations, or resets is an advantage
