Job summary

Aeven is seeking a VMware administration specialist to maintain our virtualized environment. You will manage VMware vSphere and vCenter, deploy and configure VMs, and handle patching, backups, and recovery. Strong scripting skills with PowerShell/PowerCLI are highly valued.

Hybrid work arrangement with in-office presence in Makati, Philippines. The role emphasizes reliability, performance, and security of our virtual infrastructure and requires solid communication and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere and vCenter.
• Familiarity with ESXi hosts, clusters, and vMotion.
• Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell/PowerCLI.
• Solid understanding of storage (SAN/NAS) and networking in a virtualized env.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Platform Management: Administer, monitor, and maintain VMware vSphere and vCenter.
• Virtual Machine Operations: Deploy, configure, and manage VMs and templates.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose VM performance, host connectivity, and storage issues.
• Patching & Upgrades: Patch ESXi hosts and vCenter servers for security and stability.
• Automation: Develop automation scripts to streamline operations.
• Capacity Planning: Monitor resources and plan for future demand.
• Backup & Recovery: Manage backup and disaster recovery processes.
