Job summary

Philip Morris International is seeking a Manager Vertical Start-Up (VSU) to lead execution of VSU processes across manufacturing projects in the Philippines, ensuring readiness, compliance, and target achievement. You will coordinate CQV planning, risk mitigation, and project governance while guiding cross-functional teams to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires a university degree in engineering, 5 years of manufacturing leadership, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5 years of manufacturing experience including leadership responsibilities.
• Knowledge of Project Management, Initiative Management, RTT and VSU methodologies.
• Experience with Open+ pillars and continuous improvement tools.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English; proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Production Project Masterplan, including resource planning and project readiness activities.
• Lead VSU and Initiative Management processes, including CQV planning, assessments, and start-up readiness.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Monitor project progress, risks, deliverables, and mitigation plans to ensure successful execution.
• Drive compliance with EHS, Sustainability, Quality Management System, and Open+/IOS requirements.
• Coach and develop VSU Leads, Representatives, and project teams to build organizational capability.
• Provide project governance, stakeholder communication, and regular updates to senior management.
