Job summary

About the role

This is a Maintenance Assistant position within a terminal facility. You will assist in routine preventive and corrective maintenance activities, perform basic repairs, and support facility upkeep and operations. The role involves working in a terminal/depot environment with exposure to operational conditions including heat, dust, and noise.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in routine preventive and corrective maintenance activities within the terminal facility
• Perform basic repairs involving carpentry, masonry, painting, plumbing, and other facility-related works
• Assist maintenance personnel in repairing and maintaining buildings, warehouses, offices, and other facility structures
• Conduct basic inspection of facilities and report damaged or defective areas to the immediate supervisor
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of terminal facilities, work areas, warehouses, workshops, and common areas
• Assist in receiving, moving, organizing, and storing maintenance materials, tools, equipment, and spare parts
• Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing maintenance activities
• Immediately report unsafe conditions, hazards, equipment defects, and maintenance concerns to the supervisor
• Participate in toolbox meetings, safety orientations, emergency drills, and other company safety activities as required
• Provide assistance to the Maintenance Team during scheduled preventive maintenance and emergency repair activities

About you

• At least High School Graduate
• Previous experience in maintenance, utility work, construction, or facility upkeep is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, masonry, plumbing, painting, or general repair work is preferred
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor and maintenance-related activities
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and overtime when required
• Willing to work in a terminal/depot environment
• Willing to follow strict safety and operational procedures
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
• Safety-conscious and detail-oriented
• Team player with good communication skills
