Job summary

IFIVE INC. in Metro Manila invites a USRN - Clinical Informaticist to join our healthcare IT team and advance EMR initiatives.

The role spans planning, testing, implementing, evaluating and maintaining EMR applications with clinical staff and IT collaboration. The successful candidate will lead education programs for data entry and documentation, perform chart audits for compliance, and drive user-friendly clinical documentation improvements in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a USRN with familiarity in EMR troubleshooting and management.
• US RN license in US; must hold a US Compact State license (TX, FL, AZ, NC, SC, TN, ID, GA, MO, CO).
• Two years of clinical hospital bedside or clinical experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Willing to work night shift schedule and onsite setup.
• Willing to work at Tower 1, Rockwell Business Center, Ortigas (Near The Medical City Ortigas).

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical and/or technical knowledge, expertise and leadership for EMR and professional practice project teams or committees.
• Identifies opportunities to transition clinical documentation from paper to electronic and develops and leads actions to facilitate this process.
• Ensures competency of clinical staff through assessment, planning, developing, facilitating, implementing and evaluating educational needs for data entry and retrieval in the EMR.
• Collaborates with clinical staff and IT to recognize, analyze, and resolve issues ensuring system integrity and clinical user needs are met.
• Develops, supports, and maintains regular communication to and from clinical staff regarding EMR issues.
• Conducts and coordinates chart audits ensuring the clinical system and documentation are compliant with accreditation bodies and regulations.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for USRN- Clinical Informaticist to be part of our team.

• He/She provides leadership and works collaboratively with nursing service, clinical users and the IT team to plan, develop, test, implement, evaluate and maintain clinical applications of the electronic medical record (EMR), ensuring system integrity and adherence to Avel standards. Serves as a primary clinical and technical expert resource and trainer for the EMR and documentation for clinical staff.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides clinical and/or technical knowledge, expertise and leadership for EMR and professional practice project teams or committees.

• Identifies opportunities to transition clinical documentation from paper to electronic and develops and leads actions to facilitate this process.

• Assures competency of clinical staff through assessment, planning, developing, facilitating, implementing and evaluating educational needs and educational programs for data entry and retrieval in the electronic system (including new system implementation, system upgrade and follow-up education) for new and existing employees, super users, faculty and students using adult learning principles and strategies.

• Uses various methods (i.e., unit rounds, group discussion) to seek feedback, questions and input from clinical staff and observe process flow to make recommendations for change to facilitate user efficiency and high-quality clinical documentation.

• Collaborates with clinical users and IT to recognize, analyze, and resolve issues (troubleshoot) determining whether the issue is a process, system or individual issue ensuring system integrity and clinical user needs are met.

• Develops, supports, and maintains regular communication to and from clinical staff regarding EMR and professional practice issues using a wide variety of tools.

• Conducts and coordinates chart audits ensuring the clinical system and documentation are compliant with accreditation bodies, federal and state regulations and takes appropriate action to correct deficiencies in a timely manner

• Participates in research related to the clinical information system and professional practice.

Requirements

• Must be a USRN, with a familiarity with using EMR (Troubleshooting and Managing)

• Licensed RN in US and Must be US Compact State Licensed (Texas, Florida, Arizona, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Idaho, Georgia Missouri, Colorado)

• Two years of clinical hospital bedside or clinical experience.

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.
