  • Prepare tax returns for reviewer approval and respond promptly to review comments.
Tax Workpapers and Documentation
  • Organize client-provided tax documents, financial statements, trial balances, and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and review-ready tax workpapers.
  • Reconcile tax information to accounting records, payroll reports, bank statements, and prior-year returns.
  • Prepare book-to-tax reconciliations and calculate applicable tax adjustments.
  • Review Forms W-2, 1099, K-1, 1098, and other tax documents for accuracy and completeness.

  • Follow the assigned client’s workpaper standards, naming conventions, and documentation requirements.
  • Protect confidential taxpayer information throughout the preparation and review process.
Tax Research and Compliance

  • Assist with tax notices, correspondence, penalty inquiries, and document requests from tax authorities.
  • Prepare draft responses and supporting documentation for client or manager review.
  • Maintain tax filing calendars and monitor federal, state, and local deadlines.
  • Assist with electronic filing procedures and track return acceptance or rejection notices.
