Job summary

Shell is seeking a Deputy Controller to serve as the primary US GAAP SME for Shell’s US businesses. You will guide complex transactions, align with regulators, and partner with executives to strengthen governance and compliance.

The role focuses on delivering robust accounting leadership and driving transformation within the finance function. You will lead initiatives across the US GAAP landscape, promote technical excellence, and mentor teams to ensure accurate reporting and strong governance.

Qualifications

• Professional background in financial accounting with US GAAP advisory focus.
• Strong understanding of regulatory reporting and statutory submissions.
• Evidence of governance, risk management, and controllership capabilities.
• Ability to partner with senior leaders and auditors to provide guidance.

Responsibilities

• Act as the US GAAP SME for Shell US businesses and entities.
• Provide strategic accounting leadership and technical guidance on complex transactions.
• Monitor regulatory developments and drive timely implementation.
