Job summary

Shell Manila is seeking a senior finance leader to serve as US Country Controller, overseeing controllership, governance and external reporting for the US, with accountability across 170+ entities and 150+ reporting units. The role partners with global and regional finance leaders, auditors and regulators to ensure robust controls, governance and timely, accurate financial disclosures.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification with strong knowledge of accounting standards, statutory and regulatory reporting, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience in US GAAP and external audit is an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage CFOs, executive leadership, boards and audit committees.
• Ability to navigate complex business, treasury, tax, pension and cross-functional matters, providing insights and practical solutions.
• Strong track record in maintaining financial integrity, strengthening controls and applying a risk‑focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Partner with country leadership to strengthen financial governance and robust risk and control environment.
• Lead delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting with clear insights on trends, risks and judgments for senior leadership.
• Oversee US external reporting activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory, statutory, tax and financial reporting requirements.
• Support country leadership in identifying, assessing and mitigating financial and operational risks.
• Drive simplification, automation and digital transformation to improve reporting efficiency, controls and data-driven decision-making.
• Build and develop a high-performing controllership organization with a culture of collaboration and accountability.
