cloud accounting staffing - careers is hiring a US Accountant based in the Philippines for a 100% remote, full-time independent contractor role. You will own the close, manage AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations, and deliver variance-rich reporting to US-based clients.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years US accounting experience, QuickBooks Online proficiency, and the ability to work US business hours. CPA or non-CPA welcome; exclusive engagement after hire; fully remote with equipment provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of US accounting/bookkeeping experience (public practice or industry).
• QuickBooks Online proficiency (required) with clean, documented workflows.
• Experienced CPA or non-CPA—both welcome to apply.
• Comfortable collaborating with US-based teammates and clients across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Own the close, stitch AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations, and ship reporting with variance analysis and plain-English commentary.
• Build budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash-flow projections; monitor burn and runway for SMB clients.
• Prepare timely balance sheets, P&Ls, and cash-flow statements, plus management reports with insights.
• Manage the books end-to-end: AP/AR, month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and the general ledger.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, merchant, and loan accounts; investigate discrepancies.
• Standardize checklists, close calendars, and SOPs; suggest tech automations.
