Job summary

Charity Accounting Partners is seeking a payroll and accounts payable specialist to own UK payroll and supplier payments for its charity clients. This fully remote role overlaps UK working hours with Philippine time, offering independence and flexible scheduling while ensuring on-time payroll processing and accurate supplier payments.

Responsibilities include end-to-end UK payroll (RTI, PAYE, NI, auto-enrolment), AP workflow, creditor reconciliations, and answering payroll queries promptly.

Qualifications

• Hands-on payroll and accounts payable experience, ideally in a corporate or outsourced finance environment.
• Experience with Xero or QuickBooks Online, with certifications an advantage.
• CPA qualification preferred but not essential if your payroll and AP experience is strong.
• Comfortable with deadlines that do not move; payroll runs when it runs.
• Genuine attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve mismatches.
• UK payroll RTI and auto-enrolment experience is a significant advantage and affects the rate.

Responsibilities

• Own UK payroll end-to-end for clients: processing, RTI submissions to HMRC, PAYE and National Insurance, auto-enrolment pension duties, statutory payments, P45s, P60s and payroll year end.
• Accounts payable: supplier invoice processing, approval workflows, payment runs in Apron, supplier queries and resolution.
• Reconciling the creditors ledger and posting the payroll journal, including pension and employer costs.
• Answer payroll queries from client staff and trustees directly, clearly and quickly.
• Keep payroll and AP processes documented and continuously improved.
