Job summary

Enza Zaden in the Philippines seeks a Trial Specialist to oversee local screening trials and data collection for vegetable crops. You will plan, execute, and coordinate trial locations with breeding and commercial teams, ensuring quality data and compliance with protocols.

You'll thrive outdoors, manage multiple trial sites, and collaborate across sales, marketing and breeding to support fast, data-driven variety advancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Agricultural Science or related field.
• Experience with the assigned crop is preferred.
• Able to work in South Luzon area.
• Affinity with crop cultivation and growers.
• Proficient in English and the local language (Philippines), both written and verbal.
• Clear communication, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple trial locations.

Responsibilities

• Execution of a local trial plan.
• Planning and organization of screening trials in cooperation with Breeding including selection of external screening locations and organization of seed samples.
• Administration, collection and evaluation of trial data in Enza Zaden administration systems and formats.
• Responsible for following the relevant protocols of the 3rd parties to guarantee local quality and phytosanitary compliance of the trials.
• Timely reporting of results of research and commercial variety trials to various stakeholders within the Commercial and Breeding organization.

As a Trial Specialist, you play a vital role in transforming breeding concepts into real-world results. You are responsible for organization, registration and evaluation of screening trials of one or more assigned crops at a selected group of representative growers, to enable fast and data-driven decisions on variety advancements. Next to that, you'll be responsible for:

• Execution of a local trial plan.
• Planning and organization of screening trials in cooperation with Breeding including selection of external screening locations and organization of seed samples.
• Administration, collection and evaluation of trial data in Enza Zaden administration systems and formats.
