Job summary

JAKA Investments Corporation is seeking a Plantation Agronomist to lead agronomic management across nursery, IPM, irrigation, and field scoring. You will oversee IPM scouting, soil and tree health monitoring, and reporting on plantation performance.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Agriculture with 5–10 years in commercial plantations, including drip irrigation, fertigation, and SOP implementation. Strong data analysis and GIS skills are valued.

Qualifications

• BS in Agriculture and professional licensure where applicable.
• 5–10 years' experience managing commercial plantations (tree crops preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
• Experience with drip irrigation and fertigation.
• Ability to identify major insect pests and disease symptoms in the field.
• Competence with GPS/GIS mapping, digital record-keeping, and data analysis.
• Experience supervising field crews and implementing SOPs.
• Knowledge of safe pesticide handling and biological control programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual agronomic and IPM programs.
• Manage fertilization nutrition and fertigation schedules.
• Supervise nursery production and seedling quality.
• Supervise IPM scouts and weekly inspections.
• Monitor soil, irrigation, tree health, DBH and mortality.
• Coordinate planting, maintenance, inoculation and harvest readiness.
• Ensure SOP, environmental and safety compliance.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and annual plantation reports.
