Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a STP – Travel and Expense Specialist based in the Philippines, Taguig, to review, audit, and process employee expense reports in line with policy and regulatory requirements.

You will ensure timely reimbursement, accurate reporting, and support the integrity of the Travel & Expense process while collaborating with global teams. The role requires 3–4 years in expense processing and Korean language proficiency, with strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance.
• 3–4 years of experience in Expense Processing, Travel & Expense, Accounts Payable, or related finance roles.
• Korean language proficiency (Read, Write, Speak) required.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Review and audit employee expense reports for accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance.
• Verify receipts, required forms, and supporting documentation.
• Process expense reimbursements in the expense management system.
• Communicate with employees regarding discrepancies, missing documentation, or policy violations.
• Assist employees in submitting travel and expense reports.
• Troubleshoot system errors or access issues in the T&E platform.
• Investigate discrepancies and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
• Contribute to process improvements and SOP updates.

The Opportunity

As the STP – Travel and Expense Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing, auditing, and processing employee expense reports in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role ensures timely reimbursement, accurate reporting, and supports the overall integrity of the Travel & Expense process.

What You’ll Do

• Review and audit employee expense reports for accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance.


• Verify receipts, required forms, and supporting documentation.


• Process expense reimbursements in the company’s expense management system.


• Communicate with employees regarding discrepancies, missing documentation, or policy violations.


• Assist employees in submitting travel and expense reports.


• Troubleshoot system errors or access issues in the T&E platform.


• Investigate and resolve discrepancies proactively and escalate unresolved issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.


• Contribute to process improvements by identifying opportunities within your scope of work, sharing insights, and implementing best practices.


• Support on creating, updating, and implementing job-related SOPs.


• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance, or a related field.


• At least 3 to 4 years of experience in Expense Processing, Travel and Expense, Accounts Payable, or other Finance-related roles.


• Korean language proficiency is required (Read, Write, Speak).


• Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.


• Strong oral and written communication skills.


• Excellent attention to detail and proven organizational skills.


• Highly motivated, reliable, accurate, and able to work independently.


• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.


• Ability to interact successfully with all levels within the organization both domestically and internationally.


• Motivated, team-oriented, self-starter with the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.


• Experience working with APAC regions is a plus but not required.
