Western Digital Corp. Philippines seeks a Travel and Expense Accountant to manage the end-to-end expense process for the region, ensuring timely, accurate Concur data and compliance with WD travel policies.

The role requires close coordination with Global Travel Team and Local Finance. Work with Internal Audit, Payroll, Tax and other units to support reconciliations, accruals, and KPI reporting; contribute to cost control opportunities while adapting to a fast-paced, globally connected finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Travel & Expense accounting.
• Experience in Shared Services or Global Business Services is a plus.

Summary of the Role:

As a Travel and Expense Accountant, Global Finance Operations, you will be responsible in processing the end-to-end Travel and Expense accounting process for the assigned region or entity on a timely and accurate manner that requires close coordination with employees, Global Travel Team, IT & Concur support, Local Finance Team and other Teams within Global Accounting Operations. You will ensure compliance with the Global Travel and Business Expense Policy, manage expense system administration, analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Key Responsibilities and Role Accountabilities:

• Review and approve expense reports in compliance with Global Travel Policy, analyze expense data to identify trends, risks, and cost saving opportunities
• Provide guidance and assistance to employees in Concur system navigation, expense processing, and questions related to WD's Travel policy.
• Resolve fallouts from data interface between Concur and ERP systems (Oracle/SAP) in order to successfully process the payment to bank and employees.
• Prepare and submit Concur Accrual reports, perform Accounts Reconciliation for Concur related GL Accounts in accordance with WD's global standards.
• Provide support to Internal Audit, Payroll, Tax and other business units during the review and investigation of Concur related transactions.
• Compliance with Global Accounting OperationsAccounts Payable KPIs and process metrics and support implementation of automated audit tools such as Concur Intelligent Audit
• Conduct trainings sessions as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, Management Accounting or a related field of study.
• Atleast 2 years of work experiencein Accounts Payable or Travel & Expense accounting is highly desirable.
• Industry Exposure in the Shared Services or Global Business Services setup is highly preferred.

Skills and Competency Requirements:

• Proficiency in using ERP systems, Concur, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Advanced skills in the Microsoft Excel platform is an advantage.
• Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of the end-to-end Accounts Payable process.
• Ability to exhibit strong writing, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain excellent attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy, integrity, accountability, and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stay self-motivated, effectively multitask, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to actively listen and ask thoughtful, probing questions to effectively determine customers’ needs.
• Ability to make clear, logical decisions based on facts, taking into consideration the big picture, long and short-term effects, and exercising sound judgment when handling complaints, confidential, and sensitive issues.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
