Job summary

Zuellig Pharma is seeking a Control Tower Specialist to manage truck bookings, deployment, and end-to-end status tracking across distribution centers. You will serve as the focal point between operations and vendor partners to resolve issues and maximize truck utilization.

Responsibilities include ensuring compliant loading, timely status updates at predefined times, and coordinating responses with transport planners to ensure smooth deliveries and adherence to GSDP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Truck Booking: Receives and consolidates bookings from Transport planners across sites.
• Truck Deployment: Monitors call times and coordinates with vendors for loading and deployment.
• Dispatch and Delivery Monitoring and Reporting: Provides on-time truck status updates at 10am, 2pm, and 5pm; coordinates issue resolution with stakeholders.
• Administrative Functions: Adheres to company regulations and GSDP; performs duties as assigned by Transport Supervisor.

Job description

The Control Tower Specialist is responsible for the completion of truck requirements of all Distribution centers and Platforms from booking, assigning and deployment. Responsible for the end-to-end truck status update (Truck arrival, dispatch, delivery and pod return). Serve as the focal person between operations and vendor partners if there are any concerns that need to be resolved (POD follow-up, Slow loading etc.). The role is also responsible for the monitoring of locked-in trucks, ensuring maximized utilization and no idle days.

Truck Booking

• Receives and consolidate booking from Transport planners from different sites.
• Coordinate with vendor partners on the truck assignment, call time and deployment.
• Coordinate with different the assigned trucks based on requirements.
• Ensure prioritization of truck classification sequence (1st – locked in; 2nd – on-call or per trip)

Truck Deployment

• Monitor the call time set vs actual arrival on assigned sites.
• Coordinate with Transport planner if vendor has any issue with loading.
• Ensure that the trucks assigned are compliant with pre-loading checklist.

Dispatch and Delivery Monitoring and Reporting

• Ensure monitoring of trucks based on 10am, 2pm and 5pm status update.
• On-time provision of truck status update to Customer service.
• Coordinate resolution with different stakeholders if there are any issues encountered during delivery.

Administrative Functions

• Observes company rules and regulations, procedures and guidelines at all times.
• Observes proper housekeeping and good warehousing practices to comply with GSDP.
• Performs other duties that will be assigned by the Transport Supervisor
