Job summary

Sun Life in Manila-based role seeks a trainer to drive the end-to-end quality, design and delivery of training programs across distribution channels. You will collaborate with the Agency Management Team to execute impactful learning strategies through train-the-trainer initiatives.

The role covers onboarding, licensing, product knowledge and ALD-related initiatives, plus coordinating logistics and measuring program effectiveness across the network. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Behavioral Science, or related field.
• 3–5 years of training experience in financial, life insurance, or mutual fund industry.
• Experience in agency/training delivery across distribution channels preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end quality, design, and delivery of training programs.
• Facilitate onboarding, licensing, and pre-coding courses.
• Lead rookies training and open classes in Underwriting, Persistency 101, Claims, and Digital SUN.
• Design learning roadmaps with Instructional Design and Cluster Management.
• Coordinate training logistics: calendar, venue, materials, budget, attendance.
• Participate in agency activities and advisory training events.

Job Description: Trainer (Manila-based)

Job Summary

This role drives the end-to-end quality, design, and delivery of training programs across distribution channels. Working closely with the Agency Management Team (Cluster Heads and Regional Sales Managers), the position focuses on executing impactful learning strategies and capabilities through train-the-trainer programs.

Major Accountabilities

Training Delivery

• Onboarding & Licensing: Facilitates recruitment and pre-coding courses including IC Review and SLTC.
• Rookie Training: Champions foundational programs like S.T.A.R.T., Product Knowledge, and the 4 Pillars of Financial Security.
• Open Classes: Conducts specialized courses in Underwriting, Persistency 101, Claims, and Digital SUN.
• Launches & Projects: Spearheads new product roll-outs and special ALD-related initiatives.

Training Needs Analysis

• Roadmap Design: Partners with Instructional Design and Cluster Management to build advanced learning roadmaps.
• Program Evaluation: Identifies and rolls out high-impact external training and professional designation course

Training logistics and records management

Manage logistics such as training calendar & pre-registration; venue, equipment and training materials; training budget; attendance database; post-course evaluation; and others that ALD might require to align with basic policies and procedures.

Coordinate/align schedules with Cluster Management’s initiatives

Teambuilding/meeting/learning sessions; project/product-related training (H&A, new products, Financial Planning Session; skill-building workshop (drills/role-playing)).

Participation in agency activities

Participate in initiatives that support ALD and Distribution objectives, such as but not limited to:

• Training events for advisors (e.g. Macaulay and MDRT Programs, Summits, Congress)
• Alignment of training roadmap, process and tools to agency fundamentals

Preferred Skills

• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, presentation/platform skills

• Ability to design and edit infographics, art cards and videos

Qualifications
