Job summary

Dempsey Resource Management Inc. seeks a Mold Technician to support maintenance and fabrication of molds in the Tool Shop. You will follow drawings, perform mold maintenance and repairs, and ensure safety and 5S practices while coordinating with Production and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities include completing tasks on time, maintaining accurate documentation, and contributing to process improvements. ISO and quality systems training are valued and you will work under supervision with

Qualifications

• Engineering or trade school graduate background.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and stay focused on tasks.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with mold maintenance, machining, and quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Complies with KPIs related to Mold PM, Mold Activity, and New Mold Inspection.
• Executes mold maintenance and repair per provided drawings and layouts.
• Checks assigned tasks and completes them on time as per monitoring charts.
• Operates machines/tools with safety practices and proper PPE.
• Maintains area housekeeping, orderliness, and 5S implementation.

Job description

EDUCATION:

• Engineering or Trade School Graduate

GENERAL SKILLS:

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Can interpret technical drawings, knowledge in mold design, and mold parts functions.
• Can operate basic machine tools for fabrications and repairs.
• Good mental ability, analytical, and problem-solving techniques.

AUTHORITY

• Authorized to recommend for improvement purposes in the conceptualization of mold making or revisions.
• Initiates the daily activities in the mold maintenance, repairs, and fabrication.
• Recommends improvement of methods and systems focusing on mold general activities.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complies with Technicians' KPI related to accomplishment rates for Mold PM, Mold Activity Request, and New Mold Inspection, complying with the agreed target date.
• Executes the mold maintenance and repair process with the available machines and equipment of the Tool Shop section in reference to the provided drawings or design layout
• Regularly checks the assigned task stated in the monitoring chart and completes it at the given time.
• Operates machines and tools with safety practices that include wearing proper PPE per activity.
• Responsible for area housekeeping, orderliness, machine cleaning, tool safekeeping, and implementation of 5S.
• Collaborates with Production, Engineering, and other sections in identifying and solving molding issues for improvement.
• Full details and accomplishment procedures for every accomplished Activity must be written and updated on the forms provided.
• Performs other activities as directed by the immediate superior.
