Job summary

IES Builders and Development Corp. is seeking a Warehouseman / Tool Keeper to oversee the toolroom and warehouse, ensuring tools, equipment, materials, and consumables are stored and tracked efficiently.

The ideal candidate should have inventory management experience, knowledge of mechanical tools, and strong Excel literacy to maintain accurate records and prepare regular inventory reports.

Qualifications

• Experience as Warehouseman/Tool Keeper/Storekeeper in mechanical fabrication contexts.
• Knowledge of mechanical tools, welding tools/equipment, piping/fabrication materials and consumables.
• Experience in inventory management and stock monitoring, especially fast-moving items.
• Proficient in Excel and basic inventory recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the toolroom/warehouse, ensuring tools, equipment, materials, and consumables are properly stored and organized.
• Monitor inventory levels, especially fast-moving items and consumables, and identify items that need replenishment.
• Maintain accurate records of receiving, issuance, return, and balance of tools, materials, and consumables.
• Issue and receive tools and equipment and ensure proper documentation and accountability.
• Monitor the condition of tools and equipment and report lost, damaged, or defective items.
• Maintain inventory records using Microsoft Excel and prepare regular inventory reports.
• Be familiar with mechanical tools, welding supplies, fabrication materials, piping materials, PPE, and other mechanical-related consumables.
• Coordinate with Engineers regarding their tool and material requirements for projects and site activities.
• Receive and consolidate material requests from Engineers/Site Personnel and coordinate requests with the Admin Department for purchasing or replenishment.
• Check incoming deliveries against purchase requests, delivery receipts, and actual quantities received.
• Conduct regular physical inventory and reconcile actual stocks with inventory records.
• Proactively identify low-stock items and inform the concerned Engineer/Admin before stocks run out.
• Ensure proper housekeeping, cleanliness, security, and organization of the toolroom.
• Maintain proper accountability and control of company-owned tools and equipment.
• Perform other warehouse/toolroom-related duties as may be assigned.
