Job Summary:
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate records and proper control of the company’s materials, tools, equipment, and supplies. The position handles the receiving, recording, monitoring, issuance, and reconciliation of inventory to ensure that items are properly accounted for, readily available when needed, and stored in an organized manner. The Inventory Clerk also assists in conducting physical inventory counts, preparing inventory reports, and coordinating with the Warehouse, Procurement, Accounting, and Project/Site teams to support efficient construction operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
Receive, inspect, count, and verify delivered materials against purchase orders, delivery receipts, and other documents.
Record inventory transactions accurately in the inventory system or Excel.
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Monitor stock levels and report low-stock, excess, damaged, or missing items.
Prepare inventory reports and submit them to the supervisor or management.
Coordinate with the Warehouse, Procurement, Accounting, and Project/Site teams regarding inventory movements.
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of inventory items.
Maintain proper documentation of inventory receipts, releases, transfers, and returns.
Assist in implementing proper inventory control and loss-prevention procedures.
Perform other inventory-related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related course is an advantage.
At least 1 year of experience in inventory, warehouse, stock control, or related work is preferred.
Knowledge of inventory management and stock control procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Familiarity with inventory software or computerized inventory systems is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording inventory transactions.
Good organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willing to work in a construction/warehouse environment.
Willing to work on-site or be assigned to project locations, when required.
Work Setup:
Office-based with regular field coordination for site visits.
