Job summary

The Tool Room and Tool Crib supervisor role focuses on managing daily tooling operations, ensuring timely availability of tools to support production, and maintaining accurate inventories. The position leads cost-reduction and productivity programs while coordinating with suppliers and internal engineering teams.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of Tool Room experience, CNC tooling knowledge, and a Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a Tool Room/Tool Crib with 5+ years.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining centers and lathes.
• Proficiency in tool management and calibration.
• Experience with tooling databases and cutting parameters.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Tool Room/Tool Crib operations.
• Ensure tools and fixtures meet production schedules.
• Maintain inventories and min/max levels for tooling materials.
• Coordinate tooling procurement and supplier negotiations.
• Lead tooling cost reduction and productivity programs.
• Support QA, Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance with tooling expertise.
• Promote 5S and continuous improvement in tooling areas.
