Job summary

Sumitomo Electric USA in Laguna, Cabuyao is seeking a Lead Tool & Die Supervisor to oversee the fabrication team, interpret drawings, and ensure on-time delivery of tooling components. The candidate will supervise daily operations, troubleshoot issues, and maintain strict safety and process standards in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any 2- or 4-year vocational course.
• At least 2 years as a Leader in Tool & Die environment.
• Supervised and coordinated daily activities of the tool & die fabrication team.
• Interpreted engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide tooling fabrication.
• Operated and maintained CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM machines.
• Performed quality inspections with precision instruments to ensure tolerances.
• Collaborated with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot issues and reduce downtime.
• Trained and mentored junior technicians in safety, fabrication, and QA.
• Implemented process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce scrap.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the area to meet company goals and targets.
• Plan, execute and generate reports for the area.
• Supervise tool & die fabrication team and handle difficult tasks.
• Coordinate with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
• Mentor junior technicians and uphold safety, quality, and scrap reduction.
• Ensure smooth flow of operations at the assigned station.
