Job summary

Teradyne in Cebu City, Philippines, is seeking a skilled Technician to support testing and repair of PCBA assemblies. You will run Teradyne PCBAs and system setup, interpret failure data, and collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot issues.

Qualifications

• Electronics Technology or Industrial Electronics degree with board repair experience.
• Knowledgeable in electronics board troubleshooting, de/soldering, and repair.
• Experience with hardware/software validation/verification for medium to high-end testers is advantageous.
• Goal-oriented, flexible, hardworking, and computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Follow PCBA handling procedures with high accuracy.
• Run full test procedures of Teradyne PCBAs and system setup per procedures.
• Interpret failure datalog from test programs and troubleshoot with teammates.
• Execute defined steps to fix PCBA with repetitive testing and troubleshooting.
• Perform visual inspection to ensure proper reassembly and absence of defects.
• Pack and ship boards as required.
• Collaborate with Technicians and Engineers on process and quality improvements.
• Comply with company rules, policies, and procedures.

Opportunity Overview

• Keen attention to details, 100% compliance with PCBA handling procedures, must be physically able to pick up PCBA Assemblies and place inside a system or TBUs.
• Run the full test procedures of Teradyne PCBAs and System set-up based on the defined procedure.
• Interpret failure datalog from test programs and follow defined troubleshooting steps to fix the PCBA; work with other Technician, Engineer, or Supervisor for failures that are not yet defined.
• Run a number of defined specific steps to properly fix the PCBA performing repetitive defined testing and troubleshooting procedures.
• Perform visual inspection to ensure units have been reassembled/reworked and free from physical defects.
• Perform packing and shipping of boards.
• Works with other Technicians and Engineers in process and quality improvements, reliability issues as well as meeting department/section goals.
• Comply with company rules, policies, guidelines, and procedures.

All About You

• Electronics Technology or Industrial Electronics graduates with relevant experience in board repair
• Knowledgeable in electronics board troubleshooting, de/soldering, and repair
• Experience in hardware/software validation and verification for medium and high-end testers is an advantage
