Job summary

O&B is seeking a Mid-level Software Tester to strengthen our QA efforts. You will design, execute, and analyze test cases to identify defects and ensure product quality, with opportunities to deepen expertise in automation and performance testing.

You will mentor junior testers, contribute to test strategy, and drive process improvements in an Agile/Scrum environment, using Jira and TestRail to manage tests and defects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on software quality assurance experience including manual testing and test automation.
• Solid experience with Jira for bug tracking, task management, and Agile workflow integration.
• Experience with TestRail for test suite management and execution tracking is preferred.
• Strong QA core skills: designing, executing, and analyzing complex test cases from requirements.
• Automation proficiency with Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, and TestNG.
• Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Proactive process improvement and Agile/Scrum QA workflow experience.
• Leadership and mentorship skills to guide junior teammates.

As a Mid-level Software Tester, you’ll be a vital contributor to our software quality assurance efforts. You’ll be responsible for the meticulous design, execution, and analysis of test cases to identify and address defects, ensuring our software products meet the highest standards. Duties and Responsibilities

• Test Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies, including meticulous test case design, thorough test data preparation, and efficient test environment setup.
• Test Automation: Lead the development and maintenance of automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks, driving efficiency and coverage.
• Performance Testing: Conduct robust performance testing to thoroughly assess the scalability and responsiveness of our software applications.
• Defect & Test Management: Efficiently log, track, and manage defects through their lifecycle, ensuring thorough documentation of test execution progress.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement within our QA workflows and drive initiatives to enhance overall software quality.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, sharing your knowledge of software testing practices and techniques to foster their growth.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field. (Industry-standard certifications, such as ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level or Agile Tester, are highly advantageous).
• Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven, hands‑on experience in software quality assurance, encompassing both manual testing and test automation.
• Test & Defect Management: Solid experience utilizing Jira for bug tracking, task management, and Agile workflow integration. Experience with TestRail for test suite management and execution tracking is highly preferred (Optional).
• Core QA Expertise: Solid experience in designing, executing, and analyzing complex test cases and translating business requirements into effective testing strategies.
• Automation Proficiency: Proficient in standard test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG), with a strong commitment to their implementation and maintenance.
• Performance Testing: Hands‑on experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and a clear desire to optimize application responsiveness and scalability.
• Process Optimization: Proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement and capable of driving positive change within Agile/Scrum QA workflows.
