Job summary

CHEQ Software Testing in Makati is seeking a seasoned QA professional to design, develop, and execute manual and automated tests across Functional, API, and Performance areas.

You will build and maintain automated test frameworks, analyze requirements, manage test data, and report metrics. Collaboration with developers, analysts, and stakeholders is essential to ensure product quality throughout the SDLC and Agile processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related four-year course.
• Minimum of four (4) years in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or Quality Engineering.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Hands-on in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Python, or C#; scripting skills.
• Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks, API automation, and regression suites.
• Experience testing Web, Mobile, Enterprise, Cloud, or integrated apps.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automation execution, and Git-based workflows.
• Knowledge of SQL and data validation; experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
• Knowledge of AI concepts and ability to validate AI outputs preferred.

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated tests for Functional, Integration, Regression, API, and Performance Testing activities
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks, test scripts, and regression test suites
• Analyze requirements and identify test conditions, risks, and coverage gaps
• Prepare, manage, and maintain test environments and test data
• Log, track, analyze, and manage defects through resolution
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and client stakeholders to ensure product quality
• Provide accurate test status reports, metrics, and recommendations
• Support continuous quality engineering practices throughout the software development lifecycle

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or any related four-year course
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or Quality Engineering
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong programming and scripting skills using modern programming languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Python, C#, or equivalent technologies
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks, API automation, performance testing solutions, and regression test suites using modern testing tools
• Experience testing Web, Mobile, Enterprise, Cloud, or integrated business applications
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, automation execution, and Git-based collaborative development workflows
• Knowledge of SQL and data validation techniques
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools
• Knowledge of AI concepts and the ability to evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs is highly preferred
