Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an experienced Electro-mechanical Technician in Laguna, Philippines. The role focuses on sustaining and maintaining electro-mechanical equipment, jigs, toolings, and logistics across Front of Line, End of Line, or Test assembly areas.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, dismantle and repair equipment, and perform checkouts using diagnostic tools. A background in semiconductor environments and knowledge of PLC basics are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in sustaining and maintaining electro-mechanical equipment in manufacturing.
• Education aligned to Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation & Control technology.
• Ability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems and perform preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical, electronics or mechanical troubleshooting to diagnose non-functioning equipment; perform PM as assigned.
• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layouts, blueprints or manuals.
• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts; rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required.

Job Description

Responsible in sustaining and maintenance of electro mechanical equipments, jigs, toolings and logistics at Front of Line, End of Line (Back End) or Test assembly.

• Performs electrical, electronics or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. Perform PM as assigned.
• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.
• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts. Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required.

Education

Electronics/Electrical-, Electromechanical- / Mechatronics- / Instrumentation & Control- Technology or Engineering

Work Experience

At least 5 yrs of experience in Semiconductor company, assigned either in Front of Line or End of Line (Back End) or Test Assembly

Male, not more than 40 yrs old

Other Requirements

• With skills in electro mechanical troubleshooting of equipment
• Knowledge in basic computer, hardware and applications like Windows, MS Office, other software, and Basic PLC
