Job summary

Portavaga Ship Management Inc. seeks a capable Second Engineer with international sailing experience on tanker vessels (Oil/Chemical/Product). The candidate will lead the engineering department, coordinate with related departments, and oversee activities during dry docking to ensure efficiency and economy.

Required are at least 2 years of international sailing as Second Engineer, BS Marine Engineering, and a valid Second Engineer License, plus tanker-safety training (STOT/STCT/STGT).

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years international sailing as Second Engineer on Oil/Chemical/Product tankers.
• Onshore experience is an advantage.
• Specialized tanker safety courses STOT, STCT and STGT completed.
• Graduation in Marine Engineering and valid Second Engineer License.

Responsibilities

• Lead department activities to ensure efficiency and economy.
• Coordinate with other departments during dry-docking periods.
• Direct operations and maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.
