Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Technical Solutions Manager in the Philippines to lead the development of technical solutions for Power Quality and Power Distribution. Responsibilities

• Lead design, architecture, and validation of integrated solutions across PQ, PD, cooling, and DCIM/EPMS.
• Provide SME input throughout the solution lifecycle from requirements to commissioning.
• Develop cost-effective, scalable, and compliant configurations; identify value engineering opportunities.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and external partners to develop competitive solutions.
• Prepare technical proposals, BOMs, specifications, and supporting documentation for engagements and bids.
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and training to customers and partners.

What You'll Do

The Technical Solutions Manager is responsible for leading the development of technical solutions that support the Power Quality (PQ) and Power Distribution (PD) businesses. This role provides technical leadership throughout the sales cycle by developing solution architectures, validating system designs, ensuring technical compliance, and supporting strategic customer engagements.

The position serves as the primary pre-sales technical resource for the Power Quality portfolio, working closely with sales teams, channel partners, customers, consultants, and internal stakeholders to deliver integrated, competitive, and customer-focused solutions.

The Technical Solutions Manager plays a key role in strengthening solution-selling capabilities and driving sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Technical Leadership

• Lead the design, architecture, and technical validation of integrated solutions involving Power Quality Systems, Power Distribution Systems, Cooling Infrastructure, Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM), and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS).
• Provide subject matter expertise throughout the solution lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through implementation and commissioning.

Solution Optimization & Value Engineering

• Develop and recommend cost-effective, scalable, and technically compliant solution configurations that meet customer business and operational requirements.
• Review, analyze, and optimize solution architectures, identifying opportunities for value engineering, risk mitigation, and performance improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Project Management, Services, Procurement, and external technology partners to develop competitive and differentiated solutions.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure solution feasibility, technical accuracy, and successful project delivery.

Sales Enablement & Technical Support

• Partner with sales teams to assess customer requirements, identify solution opportunities, and align company products and services with customer needs.
• Prepare technical proposals, solution architectures, Bills of Materials (BOMs), specifications, and supporting documentation for customer engagements and bid submissions.

Stakeholder Engagement, Capability Building & Business Support

• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, workshops, and solution training to customers, consultants, channel partners, and internal teams.
• Support bid strategy development, technical risk assessments, and value engineering initiatives to improve win rates and profitability.
• Engage consultants, designers, and key end users to position Eaton solutions during the early stages of project development.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, emerging technologies, competitive offerings, and market trends.
• Contribute to the development of solution design tools, technical standards, best practices, and reusable engineering documentation.
• Coach, mentor, and provide technical guidance to pre-sales engineers and commercial team members to strengthen organizational technical capabilities and support career development.
• Support product launches and new technology introductions through the development of technical enablement materials and delivery of internal training sessions.
• Collaborate with regional and global technical teams to leverage Eaton expertise and ensure alignment with global solution standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in pre-sales, solution design, and technical support for data center infrastructure, critical facilities, or integrated technology solutions.
• Industry-recognized data center certifications, such as Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP), are considered a strong advantage.
• Proven expertise in designing and architecting integrated data center and critical infrastructure solutions within mission-critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, installation methodologies, and applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Familiarity with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, cooling solutions, switchgear, ring main units (RMUs), transformers, Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and related data center technologies.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering activities, managing technical projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support successful solution delivery.
• Strong technical interpretation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools.
• Ability to effectively deliver technical presentations and solution demonstrations to customers, channel partners, consultants, and engineering stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with customers, partners, consultants, and internal teams to develop innovative and competitive solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Filipino and English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships across diverse teams and audiences.
