Job summary

Shopee Singapore Private Limited is seeking a Technical SEO, GEO, AI Traffic Growth Associate to join the Search & GEO Infrastructure team in the Philippines. You will enhance AI-driven visibility, maintain search infrastructure, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to localise strategies for Shopee's marketplace and blog properties.

The role focuses on AI and traditional SEO, GEO measurement, and hands-on tooling to improve Shopee's presence across AI-powered discovery surfaces.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of technical SEO, GEO, or search operations experience.
• Strong fundamentals: crawling, indexing, JS rendering, site architecture.
• Hands-on with AI search surfaces like Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini.
• Knowledge of GEO signals and how to track/optimize them.
• Proficiency with SEO tools: Screaming Frog, GSC, Ahrefs.
• Experience on large-scale or ecommerce websites.

Responsibilities

• Work on the technical conditions enabling LLMs to find and interpret Shopee's content including structured data and page signals.
• Support GEO reporting infrastructure including AI visibility tracking.
• Run technical audits across marketplace and blog properties; monitor crawl health and Core Web Vitals.
• Conduct deep technical research on AI search developments; distil findings for the team.
• Drive the technical workstream across special projects with engineering constraints and tooling needs.

About the Team

Shopee's search presence is evolving. Traditional SEO remains critical, but an increasing share of how users discover content is shifting toward AI-powered surfaces - Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Gemini. Keeping pace with that shift requires a team that can operate across both worlds.

We are looking for a Technical SEO & GEO Associate to join Shopee's Search & GEO Infrastructure team in the Philippines. You will work alongside our Infrastructure lead, bringing complementary depth in AI search and GEO measurement to a team that is already strong on traditional technical SEO. Your focus will be on maintaining the operational backbone of our search infrastructure while building out our capability to track, understand, and improve Shopee's visibility across AI-driven discovery platforms.

This is a hands-on execution role suited to someone who is technically grounded, tool-proficient, and genuinely curious about how AI systems surface and cite content - not just how Google crawls a page.

Job Description

• Work on the technical conditions that enable LLMs to find, interpret, and integrate Shopee's content -- including structured data, page signals, and site architecture factors that influence AI visibility
• Support GEO reporting infrastructure, including AI visibility tracking and integration of emerging measurement frameworks as they become available
• Run technical audits across Shopee's marketplace and blog properties; monitor crawl health, indexation, JS rendering, and Core Web Vitals across markets
• Conduct deep technical research on emerging SEO and GEO developments, algorithm changes, and AI search behaviours; distil findings into clear implications for the team
• Drive the technical workstream across special projects, ensuring engineering constraints, tooling needs, and site health considerations are embedded from the start

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in technical SEO, GEO, or search operations
• Solid grasp of technical SEO fundamentals: crawling, indexing, JS rendering, site architecture, structured data, GSC
• Hands-on familiarity with AI search surfaces - Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT or Gemini - and how content is surfaced, cited, or excluded
• Working knowledge of GEO principles: what signals influence AI visibility and how to track and improve them
• Proficiency with SEO tools: Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or equivalent
• Structured working style - able to run recurring processes independently and flag issues without prompting
• Experience working on large-scale or e-commerce websites
• Exposure to APIs or agent-based tooling
• Familiarity with GSC Gen AI reporting or similar emerging measurement frameworks
