Job summary

Quaker Houghton, a global leader in industrial process fluids, seeks a Technical Sales Engineer to support customers across Germany and BENELUX. You will manage a regional portfolio, perform technical visits, and lead quotation discussions while coordinating with internal teams. Expect ~50% travel and hybrid home-office setup.

Fluent German and English are required along with strong MS Office skills. A technical engineering background is preferred, with path to grow in commercial and leadership

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales or application engineering is preferred.
• Ability to translate technical needs into practical customer solutions.
• German and English written and spoken are essential.
• Engineering degree valued but not required if experience is solid.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a regional customer portfolio across Germany and BENELUX.
• Conduct regular customer visits for acquisition, technical consulting and after‑sales support.
• Identify declining purchasing trends and develop corrective actions.
• Plan meetings with prospects and customers; lead outbound business development.
• Present Maldaner’s impregnation and surface treatment offerings to customers.
• Provide technical guidance and coordinate with internal experts.
• Prepare and follow up on quotations; negotiate offers independently.
• Arrange sample impregnation activities and oversee checks and tests.
• Forward technical requests to internal teams for timely resolution.
• Support warranty handling and quality cost reduction initiatives.
• Maintain detailed customer project records and quarterly market summaries.
• Monitor customer data and ABAS ERP system activities.
