Job summary

Reed Elsevier Philippines is seeking a Technical Resilience Analyst III to strengthen the resilience, recoverability, and reliability of our AWS-based platforms. • 2-5 years of hands-on experience in resilience testing and disaster recovery strategies.

Responsibilities

• Design, review, and validate disaster recovery and resilience strategies for AWS environments.
• Develop and execute resilience testing activities, including failover testing and disaster recovery exercises.
• Evaluate cloud architectures for reliability risks and single points of failure.
• Support implementation of resilience controls and recovery mechanisms.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed resilience and reliability best practices.
• Analyze recovery outcomes and resilience incidents to drive continuous improvement.
• Track RTO/RPO objectives, resilience metrics, and testing outcomes.
• Serve as a technical SME for AWS reliability, disaster recovery, and high availability practices.

We're Hiring: Technical Resilience Analyst III

Hybrid Setup: Twice a month onsite

Schedule: Mid Shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

Are you passionate about cloud resilience, disaster recovery, and AWS infrastructure? We're looking for a Technical Resilience Analyst III to play a key role in improving the resilience, recoverability, and reliability of enterprise AWS-based platforms and services.

In this role, you'll work closely with Architecture, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to design, validate, and continuously improve resilient cloud solutions that support critical business services.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Strong experience in disaster recovery, cloud infrastructure, and resilience planning
• 10+ years of hands-on AWS experience (EC2, EKS, RDS, IAM, VPC, Multi-AZ Architectures)
• 2-5 years of hands-in hands experience in resilience testing and disaster recovery strategies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to stakeholders

Preferred:

• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect or related)
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Familiarity with Chaos Engineering practices
• Experience with observability, monitoring, and incident management tools
• Understanding of resilience-related compliance and regulatory frameworks
