Job description

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Technical Project Manager who can bridge the gap between business strategy and engineering execution. You’ll work closely with developers, designers, and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality systems and tools — from e-commerce features to internal automation platforms.

You will take ownership of the entire project lifecycle — from scoping and planning to execution, testing, and results analysis. Your goal is to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, guide teams through structured delivery processes, and ensure that initiatives are completed efficiently, on time, and with measurable impact.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation (e.g., former software engineer or technical product manager) who enjoys solving problems holistically — not just in code.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Initiation & Planning
  • Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Conduct user needs analysis through quantitative and qualitative methods (e.g., interviews, time studies, data analysis).
  • Evaluate technical feasibility and trade‑offs with engineering leads.
  • Develop detailed project plans that prioritize tasks, define timelines, and identify dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Align business targets, marketing initiatives, and operational goals with project outcomes.
Execution & Delivery
  • Manage sprint cycles, backlog grooming, and release coordination.
  • Track project progress using agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Notion, or Linear).
  • Assign and monitor project tasks, follow up on blockers, and manage resource allocation and costs.
  • Conduct daily/weekly syncs, pre‑launch reviews, and post‑mortems for key releases.
  • Ensure adherence to testing, QA, and deployment standards to maintain high delivery quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery velocity, technical quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work with cross‑functional teams in software engineering, design, marketing, and analytics.
  • Translate technical details into clear updates for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Manage communication with internal and external partners, ensuring transparency and expectation alignment.
  • Coordinate with third‑party vendors, QA testers, and operations teams as needed.
Metrics & Reporting
  • Track and analyze key delivery metrics (e.g., cycle time, deployment frequency, defect rates).
  • Prepare structured reports for leadership, covering project progress, risks, and resource allocation.
  • Use data and feedback loops to recommend improvements and guide product roadmaps.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in technical project management, product management, or software engineering.
  • Solid understanding of web development technologies (e.g., JavaScript, React, Node, Python, or PHP).
  • Experience in managing e‑commerce platforms, internal tools, or automation systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, comfortable reading logs, tracing issues, or interpreting API specifications.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like JIRA or Notion.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non‑technical audiences.
Preferred, but not required:
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
  • Background in QA, DevOps, or systems integration projects.
  • Knowledge of Flask, .NET, SQL, HTML/CSS, JavaScript.
  • Experience using data analytics and customer insights to drive feature and UX improvements.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Technically fluent – you can read code, understand architecture diagrams, and speak the language of engineers.
  • Execution‑focused – structured, organized, and relentless about delivering on time and with quality.
  • Analytical & detail‑oriented – you don’t just track tasks; you anticipate dependencies and prevent problems.
  • Collaborative & communicative – able to align diverse teams toward a shared goal.
  • Continuous learner – eager to refine both technical and management skills as the company scales.
Why This Role Is a Great Growth Step
  • Leverage your engineering background to influence broader decisions — from architecture trade‑offs to delivery strategy.
  • Expand your scope beyond coding into cross‑functional leadership and business impact.
  • Build high‑value career capital for future paths in Product Management, Program Management, or Technical Leadership.
  • Work across multiple domains — e‑commerce, automation, and internal tools — giving you exposure to how tech drives every part of the business.
  • Learn modern delivery practices in an environment that values autonomy, clarity, and rapid iteration.
