Job summary

Via Durini Ventures Inc. is seeking a Technical Designer & Sales Support specialist to bridge engineering, design, and the sales team.

You will translate technical specs into customer solutions, produce detailed drawings/models, and assist in closing deals by answering technical inquiries during the sales process. The role involves creating CAD models, modifying designs for client needs, generating BOMs and documentation, and ensuring feasibility through review of client drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Drafting, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in technical support, sales support, drafting, or pre-sales.
• Experience in modern furniture, modular cabinets, architectural products, signage, or related industries.
• Basic understanding of project management principles.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings, schematics, and layout plans from client specs.
• Modify standard designs to fit client needs while following engineering standards.
• Generate Bills of Materials, spec sheets, and project documentation for quoting and production.
• Review client drawings for feasibility and identify value-engineering opportunities.

About the role

A Technical Designer & Sales Support specialist bridges the gap between engineering, product design, and the sales team. They translate technical specifications into compelling customer solutions, produce detailed drawings/models, and help close deals by answering technical inquiries during the sales process.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings, 2D/3D CAD models, schematics, and layout plans based on client specifications and field measurements

• Modify standard product designs to create custom client solutions while adhering to engineering standards, safety codes, and manufacturing capabilities

• Generate accurate Bills of Materials, spec sheets, and project documentation required for quoting and production

• Review customer-provided drawings and specifications for technical feasibility, identifying potential issues or value-engineering opportunities

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Drafting, Industrial Design, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)

• At least 1 year of experience in a technical support, sales support, drafting, or pre-sales role

• Experience in relevant industries (e.g., modern furniture, modular cabinets, architectural products, signage, custom fabrication, or industrial equipment)

• Basic understanding of project management principles
