TechTime Trade Corp. in Manila is seeking an experienced Repair Technician Team Leader to oversee our laptop repair operations.
You will lead the Repair Technician Team, drive productivity, ensure quality, and act as a technical escalation point for complex cases. The role requires strong hands-on diagnostics across hardware and software, leadership, coaching, and the ability to manage workflows, prioritize repairs, and maintain safety and compliance.

We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on, and results‑oriented Repair Technician Team Leader to oversee our laptop repair operations. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in laptop diagnostics and repair with proven leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
The successful candidate will lead the Repair Technician Team, oversee daily repair operations, monitor productivity and performance, uphold high repair quality standards, and drive continuous process improvements. The Team Leader will also serve as a technical escalation point for complex repair cases, ensuring that devices are diagnosed and repaired efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with company standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Operations
Lead, supervise, coach, and motivate the Repair Technician Team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets.
Assign repair jobs based on technician skill level, workload, repair complexity, urgency, and priority.
Monitor technician productivity, attendance, work quality, and overall performance.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and hands‑on support when necessary.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and identify training and development opportunities.
Foster a positive, organized, collaborative, and high‑performing team environment.
Oversee daily repair workflows and ensure jobs are completed within established turnaround times.
Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions to improve productivity, efficiency, and workflow.
Ensure technicians consistently follow established repair procedures, safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of laptop hardware and software issues, including:
LCD and screen replacement
Keyboard replacement
Motherboard repair
Charging port repair
Battery replacement
Component‑level repairs
Board‑level repairs
Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, soldering, motherboard testing, and board‑level repairs as required.
Install, upgrade, configure, and troubleshoot components such as RAM, SSDs, HDDs, Wi‑Fi cards, cooling systems, and other peripherals.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows, macOS, and Linux, including drivers, firmware, and software applications.
Perform data backup, migration, recovery, and system restoration when required.
Handle complex and escalated repair cases and provide technical direction and support to team members.
Investigate difficult, recurring, or unusual technical issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Stay current with relevant laptop technologies, repair techniques, diagnostic methods, and industry practices.
Conduct quality inspections, functional testing, and final diagnostics to ensure repaired devices meet company standards before release.
Monitor Turnaround Time (TAT) and ensure service, productivity, and completion targets are consistently achieved.
Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports covering:
Technician productivity
Repair completion rates
Pending and aging repairs
Turnaround Time (TAT)
Quality and rework metrics
Spare parts and inventory usage
Overall team performance
Analyze repair and operational data to identify bottlenecks, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Recommend and implement workflow and process improvements to enhance efficiency, repair quality, and customer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate repair records, service documentation, performance reports, and other operational records.
Monitor the availability, proper use, and condition of repair tools, spare parts, equipment, and consumables.
Coordinate with relevant personnel to ensure timely replenishment of parts, tools, and supplies.
Ensure proper handling, security, and accountability of customer devices and company assets.
Assist in addressing customer concerns and provide clear technical explanations and recommendations when necessary.
Coordinate with other departments to support efficient workflows, timely repairs, and effective service delivery.
Perform other technical, operational, supervisory, and leadership‑related duties as assigned by management.
A Bachelor’s Degree, Technical/Vocational Diploma, or equivalent experience in Electronics, Computer Technology, Information Technology, or a related field is an advantage.
Proven experience as a Laptop Repair Technician, Computer Technician, Electronics Technician, or in a similar technical repair role.
At least one (1) year of experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor, or similar leadership position.
Strong hands‑on knowledge of laptop hardware diagnostics, repair techniques, and software troubleshooting.
Experience in component‑level and board‑level repair, including soldering and motherboard troubleshooting, is highly preferred.
Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, and people‑management skills.
Excellent analytical, diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and operational reporting.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
