The Tax Manager is responsible for leading the organization's tax compliance, tax reporting, tax planning, and tax risk management functions in accordance with Philippine tax laws, Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regulations, local government requirements, and applicable accounting standards. The role ensures the accurate and timely filing of all tax returns, optimization of tax positions within legal parameters, management of tax audits and assessments, and provision of strategic tax guidance to support business objectives while minimizing tax exposure and compliance risks.
Manages tax compliance, filings, and payment for five companies.
Coordinate and manage tax audits, assessments, inquiries, and examinations by tax authorities. Prepare supporting documentation and responses to regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies, provide tax advice on business transactions, contracts, investments, and corporate initiatives while ensuring compliance with tax laws.
Prepare management reports, tax forecasts, compliance dashboards, and maintain complete supporting documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Membership in the Philippine Bar or a Juris Doctor (JD) degree is an advantage.
With relevant tax certifications or specialized tax training are an advantage.
Must have a minimum of 8 - 10 years of progressive tax experience, including supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of corporate taxation, indirect taxes, tax accounting, and regulatory compliance.
Experience in handling tax audits, assessments, and tax planning initiatives.
