Job summary

JTI Philippines seeks a Tax Capability Lead to drive local tax training enablement and rollout across Philippine entities, from Market to Factory and GBS. The role upskills tax and non‑tax staff, embeds tax rules, audit learnings and governance into daily processes.

You will lead the training calendar, coordinate with governance and audit teams, and develop practical training materials, job aids, and toolkits.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent.
• CPA qualification is preferred.
• Background in Business Communications, Knowledge Management, HR Learning & Development, or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax, with exposure to enablement, program coordination, governance or controls support, learning delivery, communications, PMO, or similar roles in a multinational environment.
• Fluent in oral and written English and Filipino.

Responsibilities

• Lead local tax learning enablement and rollout using the Global Tax Academy approach and available learning materials.
• Build Philippine Global Tax team capability with learning paths and development plans.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation, jurisprudence and compliance requirements, driving readiness actions.
• Oversee tax budget and consultant spend to support informed decision‑making.
• Communicate tax updates and track savings and initiatives, including governance and record retention enhancements.
• Improve record retention, audit readiness, and evidence completeness.
• Coordinate tax engagement activities for visitors, townhalls and mandatory training reminders.
