About the role

Accounting Assistant position responsible for ensuring compliance of the company with BIR tax filing and payment and compliance with other government agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate tax returns and supporting working papers, and help in gathering and retaining supporting documentation
• Provide support to Accounting and Finance Department
• Responsible in timely submission of required schedules and analyses required by the BIR (tax audit)
• Prepare and file tax returns and its corresponding payment
• Identify areas for further improvements; initiates documentation of new and improved processes
• Stay up to date on all tax laws
• Ensure proper documentation of all tax returns filed
• Provide administrative support to the different departments for office issues and concerns
• Clean working area
• Ensure all business transactions are reasonable, appropriate, and comply with operational policies and procedures
• Respond to CEO's directives and seek clarification on assignments when needed
• Protect organisation's value by keeping information confidential
• Ensure efficient and effective accounting operations and flow of financial information for the department
• Check, read and reply in emails
• Maintain required level of technical knowledge
• Compile and implement all Company policies adherence to Company Code of Conduct and Discipline and Safety Procedures
• Perform other tasks as determined by immediate supervisor and/or Management
