Assembly Works is a Singapore-headquartered corporate services firm with offices in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines, handling incorporation, corporate secretarial, accounting, tax, audit support and HR and payroll for founders, foreign expansion teams and family offices.
Key Responsibilities
Review corporate and individual tax computations prepared by the team for technical accuracy and completeness.
Prepare and review tax computations and related tax schedules for clients.
Provide value-added tax inputs, including identifying tax efficiencies, exposure areas and structuring considerations.
Advise on transfer pricing matters and review related documentation and positions.
Support cross-border and foreign tax queries across the client portfolio.
Assist with corporate and individual tax compliance matters and tax-related assignments.
Research tax issues and provide practical recommendations under relevant tax regulations.
Liaise with clients and relevant parties on tax matters when required.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for a portfolio of clients.
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including processing invoices and payment schedules.
Perform bank reconciliations and follow up on discrepancies.
Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements.
Support the team with accounting-related queries and ad-hoc finance assignments.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Taxation or a related field.
Hands-on transfer pricing experience (required).
Prior experience working in a professional accounting or tax firm.
Demonstrated foreign tax exposure across cross-border engagements.
Strong understanding of corporate and individual taxation.
Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero or similar is preferred.
Strong review instinct, with the ability to identify issues and provide value-added input rather than simply process.
Meticulous, analytical and able to manage multiple client assignments effectively.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
