Job summary

Hawksford Singapore is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead a team of accounting executives and deliver on-time, accurate accounting, tax and payroll services for an international client base.

You will liaise with clients on accounting, compliance and taxation, build long-term relationships, and guide the team in financial accounting, financial statements, taxation, payroll and GST, while expanding service offerings to grow revenue.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA, Singapore or equivalent) with at least 5 years of accounting and tax experience.
• Proven people management knowledge and skills.
• Experience in accounting and tax firms preferred.
• Strong understanding of related regulatory policies.
• Excellent accounting and tax knowledge with strong business acumen.
• Ability to manage, lead and ensure high-quality services.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills, especially with international clients.
• Ability to organise and prioritise work with minimum supervision.
• Leader and team player with a can-do attitude and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Xero accounting software.
• Ability to provide strong references.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the team to ensure high-quality delivery of all services.
• Manage and build long-term relationships with clients (internal and external) to maximise client satisfaction and organizational revenue.
• Provide expertise, advice and guidance to the team in financial accounting, FS preparation, taxation, payroll, GST, etc.
• Liaise with statutory bodies, audit firms and partners as necessary.
• Expand and grow service offerings to increase revenue for the department.
• Work with Biz Dev & Marketing team in business development activities such as preparing write-ups, participating in talks, seminars, events, etc.

As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilitieswill involve collaborating closely with clients on various accounting and payroll assignments. It will be essential for you to meet the clients' deliverables within the specified deadlines.You will also be leading a team and ensure the team delivers the deliverable to client in a professional manner.

Required Qualification, Skills & Experience

• Chartered Accountant (CA,Singapore or equivalent qualification) with at least 5 years of accounting & tax experience

• Possess relevant people management knowledge and skills.

• Preferably experience working from or currently in Accounting and Tax Firms

• Good understanding of the related regulatory policies

• Excellent accounting & tax knowledge withstrong senseof business acumen

• Ability to manage, lead and ensure highest quality services provided by the team

• Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills, especially working with international clients

• Ability to organise and prioritize work with minimum supervision

• Proficiencywith Microsoft office and accounting software such Xero.
