Job summary

Optum is seeking a Tanium Administrator to manage core endpoint security platforms and oversee platform health for multiple clients in the Philippines. The role requires hands-on experience with Tanium, Defender for Endpoint, and CrowdStrike, plus IT infrastructure operations background.

You will coordinate upgrades, incident responses, and process improvements, ensuring security and resilience across environments.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience administering Tanium, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and CrowdStrike.
• At least 3 years in IT Infrastructure Operations or a similar technical support role.
• Hands-on experience administering the Tanium platform, with strong expertise in the Tanium Patch module.
• Experience managing OS and application patching at scale using Tanium Patch or similar endpoint management solutions.
• Hands-on experience managing Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, including troubleshooting, exclusions management, and endpoint security tuning.
• Experience performing vulnerability assessments using Tanium Comply or equivalent vulnerability management solutions.
• Strong understanding of IT security best practices and endpoint security controls.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management best practices.
• Proven troubleshooting experience with OS/app issues, endpoint connectivity problems, and performance-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily operational activities as a Tanium Administrator including health monitoring and corrective actions.
• Manage Tanium RBAC configurations (User Groups, Personas, Content Sets, Computer Groups, Module Action Groups).
• Develop and maintain custom Tanium sensors and packages to meet requirements.
• Plan and execute client/platform upgrades ensuring version consistency.
• Coordinate with Tanium Support and internal teams to resolve escalated issues.
• Create and maintain Tanium documentation, SOPs, and operational guides.
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to improve platform adoption and efficiency.
• Administer and operate CrowdStrike and Defender for Endpoint platforms for assigned clients.
• Perform daily endpoint security checks and coordinate containment actions when needed.
• Support SOC/CSIRT during incident response and investigations.
