Job summary

FIS in Manila is seeking a Systems Operations Analyst to help keep our financial platforms running smoothly 24x7. You will support client-facing systems, troubleshoot production issues, and help maintain reliable operations in a high-demand environment.

You will join a global fintech leader with onsite roles at BGC (Client Site) or EcoPlaza Makati, and rotating shift schedules. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the financial services industry and mainframe/open systems environments.
• Basic working knowledge of Unix/Linux and production control tools to analyze and respond to system processing errors.
• Experience with batch and report processing and operational procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; ability to identify abnormal processing conditions and take action.
• Clear verbal and written communication for technical and non-technical audiences; willingness to work shifting, rotating, and graveyard schedules.

• Serve as Level 1 support and coordinate with other teams on troubleshooting, maintenance and related concerns.
• Monitor and manage hardware and software in a 24x7 processing environment for reliability and availability.
• Identify abnormal processing conditions, investigate issues and resolve errors promptly.
• Perform batch processing and use production control tools to respond to system events.
• Prepare operational checklists and reports, and communicate with clients and internal teams.

About the role

As a Systems Operations Analyst, your skills will help keep our technology platforms running smoothly. You’ll support client-facing systems and applications, troubleshoot production issues, resolve processing errors and help maintain reliable operations in a 24x7 environment. This is an opportunity to build your technical skills while supporting technology that plays an important role in financial services.

Your key responsibilities

• Serve as Level 1 support and coordinate with support teams or product owners on troubleshooting, maintenance and related concerns.
• Monitor and manage hardware and software in a 24x7 processing environment to support reliable performance and availability.
• Identify abnormal processing conditions, investigate issues and take appropriate action to resolve errors in a timely manner.
• Perform batch and report processing and use production control tools and resources to respond to system processing errors.
• Prepare operational checklists, statistical summaries and daily, weekly and month-end reports, while maintaining proactive communication with clients and internal teams.

What you bring

Required qualifications

• Knowledge of the financial services industry and mainframe and/or open systems operating environments.
• Basic working knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and the ability to use production control tools to analyze and respond to system processing errors.
• Knowledge of operational procedures, management reporting and management information systems, including experience performing batch and report processing.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to recognize abnormal processing conditions and take appropriate action.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical audiences, and the flexibility to work shifting, rotating and/or graveyard schedules.

Preferred qualifications

• ITIL certification.
