Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a Systems Analyst in the Philippines to join our team and lead the analysis, design, and implementation of our digital banking applications. You will translate complex business needs into actionable technical requirements within a fintech ecosystem.

The role requires strong collaboration with business units, IT, and external partners, plus guiding workshops and mentoring junior staff. On-site work in Ortigas or Makati is expected for a dayshift schedule.

Qualifications

About the role

We are seeking a Systems Analyst to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be a key leader in the analysis, design, and implementation of our digital banking applications. You'll work at the intersection of business and technology, leveraging your expertise in a specific digital banking or fintech application to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of the entire digital banking ecosystem and the ability to guide and influence cross‑functional teams to deliver exceptional digital experiences for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the analysis and documentation of complex business processes for digital applications

• Conduct in‑depth gap analysis to identify opportunities for strategic enhancements and optimizations that align with business goals

• Drive the entire requirements lifecycle, from high‑level concept to detailed functional specifications

• Create comprehensive technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria that serve as the blueprint for development and QA teams

• Act as the primary liaison between business units, IT teams, and external vendors

• Facilitate workshops, lead discussions, and manage expectations across all stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful delivery

• Serve as a subject matter expert for digital applications, providing expert‑level troubleshooting and strategic solutions for complex issues

• Analyze root causes and drive the implementation of long‑term fixes

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members

• Champion best practices for business and systems analysis, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team

About you

• At least 5 years+ experience as a Systems Analyst

• Amenable to report onsite in Ortigas / Makati for a dayshift schedule
